This variety has very stiff straw and a high specific weight, and LG Beowulf also offers growers the security of Orange Wheat Blossom Midge (OWBM) resistance.

LG Beowulf is a hard feed Group 4 winter wheat that performs well across all regions of the UK. It can be sown on all soil types, from light to heavy land, and provides excellent flexibility, as it can be drilled from the last week of September onwards. It is suitable as a first, second, or continuous wheat. It really does tick all the boxes for feed wheat growers!
