• Cleaning, treating and sampling seed prior to drilling.
• Assisting with the planning, preparation and establishment of field trials and breeding nurseries.
• Supporting the management of locally contracted official trials through BSPB and AHDB.
• Conducting field assessments for disease resistance, agronomic performance and other crop traits.
• Recording and entering trial data using breeding databases such as BOS/BAT.
• Preparing grain samples for quality testing and supporting laboratory analysis.
• Assisting with wider trial management and wheat breeding activities as required.
• HND/HNC qualification or higher in Agriculture, Crop Science, Plant Science, Horticulture or a related discipline.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Flexible approach to work, including seasonal requirements and occasional work outside normal hours.
• Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
